1、 Processing technology requirements and execution standards

1. Chemical composition control

Titanium alloy rods must comply with the provisions of GB/T 3620.1 for element content, and the allowable deviation during retesting shall refer to GB/T 3620.2.

2. Dimensional tolerance specification

Hot processed bar: The diameter or side length deviation shall be executed according to Table 1 of GB/T 2965-2007, and the out of roundness shall be ≤ half of the dimensional tolerance.

Cold processed bar: The diameter deviation after polishing meets industry standards, and the length deviation of annealed bar is allowed to be+20mm.

3. Physical performance requirements

The microstructure of annealed state should be uniform, and the grain size of pure titanium should not be coarser than grade 5. Titanium alloys should meet grades A1 to A9.

Ultrasonic testing requires a diameter of 2.0mm-9dB.

2、 Core processing technology

1. Hot processing technology

Forging process: Optimizing material density through upsetting and drawing cycle forging, with a yield rate of over 80%.

Rolling and Annealing: After hot rolling, annealing is required to eliminate internal stress, and the annealing temperature and time are adjusted according to the alloy type.

2. Precision Grinding Technology

Heartless grinding machine processing: Through the coordinated control of grinding wheel and adjusting wheel, H7~H11 level accuracy is achieved, solving the problem of grinding wheel adhesion caused by high hardness and low thermal conductivity of titanium alloy.

Cooling and lubrication optimization: using specialized grinding fluid to reduce oxidation risks and minimize surface deformation caused by high temperatures.

3. Surface treatment and forming

Cold drawing or cold rolling processes are used for high-precision bar production, and strict control of the cutting amount is required.

Additive manufacturing of nitrogen-containing titanium alloys can improve surface hardness and wear resistance through laser cladding technology.

3、 Industry Trends and Innovation

Process innovation: The combination of vacuum heat treatment and multi-directional forging significantly improves the uniformity of bar materials and reduces the defect rate of non-destructive testing.

Internationalization of standards: Domestic enterprises are gradually adopting the American standard to meet the demand for high-end equipment exports.
